50 true things about myself. (Dianna passed to me this idea.) If anything surprises you, let me know what it was. If I had time tonight to do it over again, I would focus on surprising things.
1. I went to kindergarten, then was schooled at home until college.
2. I am a student of English Literature.
3. I have no idea why.
4. Most of my friends are older than I am.
5. I like imitating people's voices.
6. Today I met Dr. Johnson, former president of USF while never having met Dr. Benedetto, current president, in my three undergraduate years.
7. I like dill pickles better than sweet and bread pickles.
8. My favorite meat to eat is salmon.
9. I like big animals.
10. I applied and was accepted to work in an offshore fish processing plant in Alaska and didn't go.
11. I've lived in Africa for 4 months.
12. I want to visit more countries.
13. I want to be silent for an entire day someday.
14. I want to tour America on a bicycle.
15. Something dear has been stolen from me; my mother's 1980 Trek touring bike.
16. I now own a 2008 Bianchi Volpe.
17. I have spent an hour or so, and enjoyed it, with people I could not communicate with.
18. I don't play piano as much as I used to.
19. I sing mostly classical music.
20. I do not know very many people.
21. I have very few close friends.
22. My memory is weaker than most.
23. I have no eye for color.
24. Hazel is the color of my eyes.
25. I did not eat supper tonight because I was depressed.
26. I have read Don Quixote.
27. I have been raped in a dream.
28. Flying dreams are my favorite dreams.
29. The relatives I know live in Wyoming, Texas, California, South Dakota, Alaska, and Minnesota.
30. Two of my cousins are Peruvian.
31. I like wine more than beer.
32. I've never been drunk, but have had enough wine to notice that in order to walk precisely and straight, I had to focus.
33. I feel lonely often.
34. I also often like to be alone.
35. I have two friends who can sit without feeling the need to talk.
36. My chocolate Labrador was hit by a car and died.
37. My family has a cat named "Kitty."
38. Both my parents have each been married once.
39. I have 1 older brother and 2 younger sisters.
40. My family gets along very well.
41. I like to listen to writers read their work.
42. I like to recite poetry.
43. I am a Christian.
44. I was born in Louiseville, KY.
45. I can bake sourdough bread.
46. I enjoy climbing trees.
47. I think I'm a coward.
48. I've sometimes feared people think I'm lesbian.
49. I've dropped my toothbrush in the toilet and used it again.
50. I've dug up yukon gold potatoes in my mother's garden.

6 surprised me, though thinking back on it, I'm not surprised. The only reason I've met him is because I like to raise hell a little.
30 surprised me as well, though I can't think of a course of conversation where you would have mentioned it, so it's more of a surprise to find out something new, rather than a "why didn't i know this" sort of surprise.
48 made me laugh. I've never thought that, by the way.
49 is not surprising at all, and I don't know why.

32 didn't exactly shock me but it made me laugh. I've felt like that before.
49 did surprise me, until I thought about your personality and then it just kinda grossed me out! :)
